Welcome to the online home of Diakonia, Inc. We are an accredited and state licensed STRTP youth residential program established to provide treatment for out-of-home youth ages 12-18.
Since opening our doors in 1989, we have continued to further our mission of administering “Love & compassion towards the needs of others.”
The goals we strive to achieve include:
– Identifying the problem areas specifically associated with the client being placed in the program
– Protect and nurture the fundamental growth of our youth
– Instill a sense of identity and a positive sense of family
– Manage the youth’s educational, therapeutic, emotional, and health needs
– Achieve a permanency plan through family reunification, when feasible

MISSION STATEMENT
Founded in 1989 Diakonia, Inc. is dedicated to augmenting the lives of youth by developing their unique selves. Through utilization of therapeutic and practical tools, specialized education, and strategic activities, the youth are enabled to thrive. We remain committed to their families and interested parties, providing practical help, and support that not only strengths family relationships and their well-being, but ultimately fortifies, propels, and sustains communities. In an age of impersonal care, our staff remains on the forefront of best practices, and is committed to providing quality care through love, and compassion for the individuals, and families we serve in a safe, well-maintained and inviting environment.

Diakonia, Inc. delivers a broad range of services to youth, their families, and ancillary support systems to improve their emotional stability and self-sufficiency. We envision all youth having every opportunity to succeed and provide them with the resources to be able to accomplish their individual goals. By providing a judgment free safe zone and essential therapeutic care, our priority remains their care and wellbeing. Our homes are nestled in San Bernardino County, with access to countless activities, and attractions, cultural events, etc. and an easy drive to the mountains and the beach. We take pride in exposing our youth to a diverse array of extra-curricular activities so they can see the world beyond their circumstance.
